Sometimes we get tired of the right effort that is need, or we get disapointed with lack of progress, and then, lacking sati, we fail to see this as just the same old hindrances and habbits we had all along... But wakey-wakey, time to remember that we CAN come out of those old hells and feel the way we choose to feel, and we start again to develop the skills needed to fell the way we want to feel.

There are 4 ways to be reborn: rebirth in hell (as in anxiety and rage, both hot), reborn as a pitta, a hungry ghost (wanting something that can not be had), reborn as an animal (a fool who does what he is forced and trained to do, too stupid to rebel) and reborn as a Titan or asura (a warrior who is afraid to go into battle). the way to not take birth in one of these is to remember to breath and be alive here and now in great joy and success.
